Michelle Dube
Director for International Safety and Security
Michelle Dube is the Director for International Safety and Security at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She oversees the programs, policies, and procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of Illinois students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad for study or university business. Additionally, she manages global emergency response services for all university travelers. Michelle brings significant global risk management and security expertise to this role. Before joining Illinois International, she was a member of the Foreign Service and special agent in the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service with postings to U.S. embassies in Burundi, Spain, and Pakistan. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont.

Christina Wickson
International Safety and Security Coordinator
Christina joined Illinois International in 2025. Christina is responsible for coordinating the operational management of international safety and security policies, procedures, and initiatives that support the well-being of Illinois students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad for study, research, or university-related business.
